- Which device types, operating-system versions and applications matter to your cases?
- Where do examiners lose time: intake, acquisition, review, reporting or handover?
- Who will operate the system, review work and own technical escalation?
- What has to fit your existing evidence, procurement and information-security process?
We use that discussion to separate a real requirement from a feature checklist.
Four ways to add capability
Tools and licensing
Discuss the mobile-forensic software, licences and hardware that fit the work you expect to perform. Product claims, availability and support commitments are confirmed against the relevant vendor terms before they appear in a proposal.
Implementation and product enablement
Plan how a new tool enters the lab: roles, environment, initial configuration, operator onboarding and an escalation path. The point is to make the first working workflow usable, not merely to install software.
Operator and evidence-handling training
Train the people who receive, document, acquire, review and report on mobile evidence. Academy delivery begins with practical private-team training, not a generic student course catalogue.
Lab-readiness workshops
Review the handoffs around the tool: evidence movement, scope records, manifests, working copies, reporting, retention and skills gaps. A readiness workshop can identify what should be fixed before a new procurement goes live.
For technical and procurement teams
A capability conversation should leave you with a clearer evaluation path, not a vague commitment. Before selection, agree the required device and application coverage, licence model, implementation responsibility, training audience, support route and the conditions that would make the proposed tool unsuitable.
Zeno does not yet publish a capability statement, catalogue, warranty, support terms or training outline. Ask which documents are currently available before fixing a technical evaluation or tender requirement.
